How to Get Involved
Mimic is always accepting new volunteers and community partners!
Become a Volunteer
By simply donating your time, energy and sharing any resources you have access to you are considered a MIMIC volunteer! Examples of what some of our volunteers do currently are: Work the Grill at our Community Events, attend a community clean up, donate food or coordinate a food drive for our Thanksgiving Drive, work our sign in table, make phone calls or simply be a presence at MIMIC events.
Become a Member
In order to become a Member of MIMIC, there is a requirement that a “prospective member” actively attend bi-monthly MIMIC meetings and volunteers at events and in sub-committees for a full year before being voted in to the membership. Once you become a MIMIC Member, there are opportunities for to become mentors and to facilitate workshops for MIMIC programs.
Clearances
All MIMIC Volunteers and Members are required to have Child Abuse Clearances and Criminal background checks. MIMIC requires that nothing show up on a Child Abuse Clearance at any point, and if there is a criminal conviction, that it is not within the past 5 years.
